Richard Morgan Shorebird Hand Carved Wood Figurine

Richard Morgan handmade Shorebird wood figurine. Hand carved and painted wood. Has an old Connecticut fence post slice as a base. Nationally known Connecticut decoy carver Richard Morgan, owner of The Painted Bird, makes authentic reproductions of early American hunting decoys. His name is wood burned on the base bottom. Bird is a long-billed curlew. Made of pine, and the hand painting on it was distressed for an antique look. A worn metal rod supports the bird, and beak is a worn metal wire. Painted gray and cream with gray feather marks on underside. Brown inset eyes. Wood knot on one side. 12 inches high, 14 inches long including beak, base diameter is about 4 inches. Good condition, no chips or cracks. Great with many decor styles. Great for anyone who likes birds or Richard Morgan's art.
