Summit Of The Americas Commemorative Backpack From 2022 Color = White This backpack was made to commemorate the IX Summit of the Americas, which took place in Los Angeles in 2022. This event was a gathering of leaders from countries across North, South, and Central America, aimed at discussing and addressing various regional issues. The backpack itself is notable for its sustainable origins, as it was made from 100% salvaged, high-performance materials by Rewilder, a Los Angeles-based woman owned company. These gift backpacks for the 2022 Summit of the Americas were designed with a focus on zero-waste fashion and environmental impact. The bags Rewilder created to encompass the gifts for this event were made from both scraps and rejected airbag fabric. They made the trim and handles using rejected seatbelts, and the lining is automotive mesh, used to cover the foam of car seats. For this particular project, they repurposed vintage LA metro tokens for the zipper pulls. *There were only 1,125 Of These Backpacks Made So They Are Rare!
