Retro VS. Vintage

Retro- imitative of a style, fashion, or design from the recent past. Retro has become a buzz word, however the true definition indicates that it is a fake vintage. Vintage on the other hand means that it is an original piece from a past era. By today's standards something is considered vintage if it is 20 years or older. Something is either retro or vintage. By definition they are opposites and can't be both.
