leathercraft @piranhawench moved to my closet. Here’s some ideas for butterflies.,not sure all the ones you noticed are here but I can locate more if we need.

leathercraft @piranhawench if we only use toffee leather we are unable to hand tool the vine and butterflies like the bracelet. We could do something like it with the laser though. I need to talk to Amol about this idea.

leathercraft @piranhawench something like this. Remember your front panel will be divided into sections so it won’t look exactly like this but it could wrap around the binder.

piranhawench Turn the upside down butterfly, bottom center, right side up (yes I know they do LOL fly that way) And pick a spot to put the gecko. Don’t forget to put his halo separate from him like in the notebook cover. It’s perfect. My gecko is a different pattern though.

piranhawench @leathercraft Inner flap, what can you do to put the gecko, butterfly, turtle & dog paw, (in that order or just scatter but close, gecko watching over maybe from the top? Maybe smaller than you did on the notebook cover, with your vibe running through? It could be smaller like the shots coming off the larger vine in the front? Do you understand what I’m trying to say?

piranhawench Can you put one of my butterflies on the top of the spine? This full length of leather will fold around the binder & flap over back to front right then n with the magnetic closure strap right?

piranhawench I’m headed to bed pretty soon. I have radiation & chemo (immunotherapy) tomorrow. 3 hours just about. By the time I’m done I’m beat! I might talk tomorrow but probably not till Tuesday or Wednesday. I have a finish date of the 21st, but the doctor said maybe the 15th. I’ll believe it when I’m walking out. Lol! Thank you soo much for all the work you do for me!!!

leathercraft @piranhawench take your time. Yes this would wrap on the outside I’ve made a longer version too to include the flap. The strap would lay over the pattern and would not be lasered. I also have to figure out how to laser this on a continuous piece as our laser is not long enough but that’s for another day. Glad we’re getting started.

piranhawench This is the cover pattern you designed for my binder! On the inside front flap I’d like a lizard, with a halo, (tribal one, not the same as the notebook cover), smaller than the ones on the notebook cover, butterfly, turtle, paw print, in that order, going down the flap. Lizard towards the top of the flap. I should have pictures selected for each one, either in my bundle or in my closet, at the top of the closet, @piranhawench.

leathercraft @piranhawench hi ok new front cover last image if that works. I have the toffee(a tan) we talked about. We’ve used that one for a lot projects and plan to keep that hide in stock. Right now I do have the blue (like the journal above) or a similar olive green that would work.

piranhawench @leathercraft Ok, I’ll go with the toffee hide, & yes the pictures are perfect…. The lizard is the tribal looking one right? If so, then I think we have the design done! 😃 I want 2 pen holders, same as he did for the other cover, & a pocket for a notepad. My notepad right now are about 3” wide X 5” long. Most pens are kind of thin like office pens, or maybe just a hair bigger.

leathercraft @piranhawench the binders height is not longer than the width of the laser so it is possible to get it in there. I’m hesitant show you a first draft but the last few photos are what it might look like. I basically have to laser it in 3 sections but it works.

leathercraft @piranhawench I would make the following changes a bigger sun, more smaller vines and more butterflies. You’ll see a quarter of a butterfly where I needed to stop the laser because I was trying to do it upright so that won’t be there. Having a first draft lets me see placement easier and make changes etc. I’ll have Amol make me a new panel and start working on the final project this week if you still like it.

piranhawench I love it far! Can you put the sun on the left top front? Or does it need to stay there? A bigger sun is fine. Yes more vines & butterflies in the empty spots. Is that what you meant?

piranhawench You have 2 butterflies that are different on there. Can they be changed to a different one or to the same as the others? I don’t really like that butterfly. If not it’ll be ok.

piranhawench @leathercraft I’ll pick a couple butterflies. For inner flap, top down, lizard, paw, turtle, butterfly. Can the lizard be on the very top of flap, looking down?

piranhawench @leathercraft You can use all those butterflies. You can use the butterfly you used on the inner flap of the notebook cover too. Can they be smaller? Just scattered all around. The one for the inside flap is like the big one on the front. Can you put one like the big one on the front on the closure strap?

piranhawench I don’t know where the folds are. I like the one with more butterflies. Can there be another one in the middle under the sun? The butterfly turtle paw & lizard are in perfect order! The lizard’s halo needs to be above his head not below.

leathercraft @piranhawench it won’t line up perfectly with the folds. It’s 3 sections on the notebook with 4 lasered sections but it’s designed to wrap around a bit and be blank in other areas.

leathercraft @piranhawench ok design pretty solid. Now a little info. Unfortunately the toffee Hyde is too thick to use as the inside flaps and we don’t have a really good color match that’s as thin as we need. We could use the same brown as we did for the notebook inside or something in super thin vegtan colored like the sunset tan you’ve gotten before.

leathercraft @piranhawench hey lady. Sorry for the delay we got some lining leather in. One color option is the background leather kind of copper color. The other is to dye leather the color of the barrette (same color as your wolf journal). Please let me know your thoughts anytime.

piranhawench Like the wolf journal please. And on the front inside cover, the lineup of gecko with a halo, turtle, paw print & butterfly. Can you use the butterfly in the color samples here? It’s different than the rest & pretty. Probably one I picked & eliminated before. Lol! And is that other butterfly on the front? It’s cool looking!

piranhawench P.S. We’re at the river & have spotty WiFi. We’ll be home Sunday. I try to check in to Posh when I can, but haven’t been able to much. I won’t be back tomorrow to check till late. We’re going fishing. If we catch a bunch, that means we wait in line at the cleaning station to clean them all. Then build a fire & cook them all. We have to eat a lot so we can fish the next day! piranhawench Put the one from the magnetic flap on the inside lineup, front cover, inside . Put gecko on top, then turtle, paws & finally the butterfly. And if you see a space that needs something, put a vine, a couple leaves & a butterfly. 🙂 maybe a peace sign somewhere… a Libra sign ♎️… I don’t need all that. Just if you see an empty spot & can…😁

Like do the 2 sides still touch or is there a gap between the cover and the backside because it holds a lot? We need to estimate where the strap will go based on how stuffed you keep it.
