made by me using a reproduction cotton print period to the 1860s and all period construction methods. flat lined bodice, pipped neckline and arm holes. gathered waist. bodice has hook and eyes down the front with a " dog leg" closer. machine sewn seams and hem. machine sewn garments had started becoming a thing in the 19th century. hand stitched finishing. comes with white removable cuffs that are basted onto place.
some spots here and there, this gown was worn with great gusto! would fit over a corded petticoat but I'm not sure about a hoop skirt. this was a " working dress"
fit notes, would fit a 39 inch bust and a 27 inch waist. for proper fit, this dress needs a corset and all the proper underpinnings. wrist is small, it was made for a 6 inch wrist and there isn't too much room to move the button over. measure yourself with the proper undergarments!
the outside dress measurements laying flat are 19 inches pit to pit and the dress waist laying flat is 13.5 inches. but please refer to the fit notes above .
can send additional measurements or photos upon request.
will entertain reasonable offers.
