⚠️⚠️BUYER BEWARE⚠️⚠️
This is just a courtesy message. I noticed you’ve “liked” an item that is not authentic. There are many FAKE designer items on PM. The FAKES will ALWAYS be less than $500. It avoids the authentication process. Remember, If the price seems too good to be true, it always is.
Just letting you know🙂
Fakes can be reported!!
⚠️Go to the top right corner and click on the 3 little dots. Click on REPORT THIS LISTING and then click REPLICA⚠️

I’m sending this message to as many poshers as I can.

@josie3113 thank you so much for sharing to help spread the word. 5x this past week I saw scammers using my photos. I actually saw one page who is a well known seller who stole my photos and then after commenting under their listing they removed my photos but Left other peoples photos up on that same listing. It’s sad that even non scammers are using other peoples photos because they don’t want to do the hard work or taking nice photos. It is infuriating

I’m extremely curious as to why PM is not knocking these fake accounts down by the minute. I’m continually refreshing both the LV & Gucci closets, and they are inundated with Replicas… which is prohibited. They need a department that is dedicated to monitoring these sellers & immediately deleting and banning them!

And of course, over the past several days, I have had mini posures tell me that they believe this is an inside job. I don’t know if I necessarily believe that but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it was true.

‘many poshers’

@josie3113 exactly! The fact that these accounts do not get removed immediately makes me wonder as well. I know that there are scammers out there, but you would think that by now they would have a system better sophisticated to identify scammers. Other platforms do, so why can’t this one do the same?

@josie3113 I see this happening all the time. Sometimes it’s whole profiles that are stolen too. Please advise what is the benefit to the scammer? If they don’t have the item to send, how are they profiting? Just wondering why they’re doing it!
May 18Reply

josie3113
@halliburtonwife Hell if I know the benefit. I don’t have any firsthand experience with fakes. I’ve had several Posher‘s say they’ve never received their item. And I guess Poshmark reimburses them. I don’t necessarily have a dog in this fight, but Poshmark is adamant that they prohibit the selling of replicas…. yet there are so many of them on here. If they are going to put their foot down on the selling of fake items, then they need to back it up with something.. and stop doing nothing!

And for Hell’s sake.. would people please stop asking if something is authentic!! If they have to ask, then the answer is obvious 🙄

I want so badly to reach through this phone and choke people!
May 18Reply

mkjluxery
@halliburtonwife I think some of them have replicas and use authentic photos and then send the replicas. They wind up making money off of the buyers and poshmark probably just assumes the seller was genuine because the photos are of real bags stolen from honest sellers!
May 18Reply

mkjluxery
@halliburtonwife Or they will say they sent the item and just act like the buyer stole it. Some of them will try to get you to buy off of the site too and then just totally rob inexperienced buyers. The list goes on and on! The scammers have got so many advanced ways of figuring out how to steal from people over the years. It’s horrible!
May 18Reply

mkjluxery
@josie3113 sometimes they will all get together and try to take down real accounts who get mad like I did for outing them and they get away with it because if enough people report anyones page poshmark will delete. The system is so faulty!
May 18Reply

mkjluxery
@josie3113 I would love to just sell on my own but that’s not allowed on. If they are going to charge a 20% fee the security system they have should be top notch!
May 18Reply

mkjluxery
Oh and don’t even get me started on their support! Takes sometimes a week before they respond to you so it would take like months of going back and forth with them about scammers and by the time anything got done about it they already got to scam so many people
May 18Reply

halliburtonwife
@mkjluxery That makes sense! I couldn’t wrap my head around the benefit of stealing the pics, but yes I can see how that might work. Smh

@josie3113 @mkjluxery guys, its actually more serious than that. Its the same scammer/s clown who is hacking into established accts with stolen photos so it seems as a legit account. What's most frustrating is when people somehow believe a 3-4k purse is for sale for 300, not to mention same pics used in 50 diff accts. I posted about this & the constant hacking into peoples accounts. There is a data breach on this site

@bam_theyorkie I’m gonna say it. This definitely has China stink all over it.
May 18Reply

bam_theyorkie
@josie3113 1000% all the photos they post of the fakes have Chinese writing & when they respond, they speak horrible English with terrible grammar.

I just saw this exact picture on several different accounts. I reported all of them.
May 18Reply

mkjluxery
@youresuchapyt thank you!!! I really appreciate it! I started to put labels on my photos to prevent this from happening but it takes forever to do that extra step and it takes even longer to take all of the photos and create the listing as it is, but I might have to start doing that again because this is getting out of hand

mkjluxery
@josie3113 yup! Definitely people from China and who knows where else
