Renaissance Style Gold Dangle Brooch ~ Vintage Medieval Style Dangle Drop Brooch

Wonderful French Medieval Renaissance Style, gold plate, double chain dangle brooch. This 4" x 2" deep statement brooch is reminiscent of the Rose stained glass windows in Chartres Cathedral in Chartres, France. The style of these windows is Gothic and were added to the cathedral sometime between 1230 and 1235. Dimensional stylized swirls, shapes, and twisted rope borders create the gold plate base. From the bottom hang two Prince of Wales gold chain swags. In the center is a highly decorated tear-shaped drop. Secure rollover clasp. An extremely well-made and designed vintage dangle brooch. Excellent condition!
