Beautiful and Made by the famous read and Barton in the mid 40s. The piece is been well taken care of and has an immaculate sense of detail. He could use a good shining though. All prices I found for comparable condition were from $100-&180

Silver plated or solid silver?

The label says silver plate which throws everyone off. It simply means that it is a sterling silver plate. If the label were to read silver plated it would be different, but that particular plate is part of a larger 1952 Reed and Barton set of sterling silver plates. Unfortunately I don’t have the whole set so I’m selling this one alone, and I’ll let it go for $98. Bottom line. Plus shipping.

Al, the silver plate indicates it's silver plated. If it were to be STERLING it would be stamped as such. your tray is worth about 15-25 may be a bit more depending on how long you want to sit on it.

Silver plated and silver plate ARE the same thing.
If it was solid sterling silver it would say "Sterling Silver" Or "925"

Please correct your listing so not confuse people . This is silver plate .. not sterling . I have many bowls like this and other pieces as well. They would stamped if they were sterling silver.
