Slip-Decorated Redware Plate, probably Philadelphia origin, circa 1840 Artist Possibly Stephen Earp Slip-Decorated Redware Plate, probably Pennsylvania origin, I believe its a copy of the 1840-1875 original with coggled edge (also called Pie Crust Edge).The interior is covered in a manganese glaze and decorated in yellow slip with wavy and scrolled trails. There are No chips or cracks but there is a nick caused before firing and a scratch in the glaze.
