Red Winter Jacket Wool Car Coat, 40s VINTAGE Waldorf Camp

Want to be warm AND retro? These were once known as ''car coats''. Length below waist for easy sitting in car or driving. Certain to get you through more than one season with chic but festive style. That big collar was a ''thing'' in the 40's, just like it was in the 70's. (Not styled 40s in photos, you may have noticed) Lined with brilliant red ''Milium'', (bright high quality satin). All wool, the styling is classic with a few cute twists: notched sleeves, side button belts. Top pockets are fake, bottom ones real lined in satin, one has a hole. Buttons to neck, where there's that extra little button in corner to make it sit right on body, but the loop is broken, so you may want to remove it. Straight sack (aka ''sacque'', like ''shift'') styling. Collar stands up nicely. From the defunct high end department store in Cleveland, ''Halle Bros.'' CONDITION? Along with the 2 previously stated, there's some slight wear to the edges of the cuffs (shown) and some faint shattering in the lining (shown, but there are no holes).
