@marycrp Hi! These types of rubies are sometimes called record players or record keepers because of the triangular markings they have on their hexagonal faces. Some people believe that the etchings hold secrets or runes (hence the “keeper” term), whereas some people think that the etchings look like the rings or grooves of vinyl records. At the end of the day it’s an aesthetic term :) Hope this helps!
