This is an absolutely stunning bag from Rebecca Minkoff. It’s called the Edie flat bag in a thick brown leather called “luggage” for the color. It has stunning silver hardware. The leather is quilted in a Chevron pattern. The stitching is thick and secure. There is an enormous lobster claw which secures into a thick sturdy D ring. There is also a snap closure. This bag has several extra compartments —there is no detail that has not been considered. At the top of the straps there are two leather panels that are designed to lay on your shoulder so that you are comfortable all day and don’t need to have a chain digging into your shoulder. You can wear this as a: 1. Long shoulder bag. 2. Short shoulder bag. 3. Crossbody bag. 4. You can swing it to the back as a sling. 5. If your extra creative like me, you can use some trendy carabiners to convert it into a backpack, bum bag or a waist bag From a manufacturing standpoint, this blows all of the luxury brands out of the water. And I know because I have personally seen how expensive designer bags are made. And it’s not with super thick leather, extra secure stitching, tons of compartments extra large and thick, stainless steel hardware and zippers (like RM)— nothing is about the consumers lifestyle and the bags longevity. It’s about profit margin. Which inevitably makes brands like Rebecca Minkoff far superior in quality and craftsmanship. Bag is in fantastic condition.
