flsunshine777 Okay so the bottom of the bottle looks good, solution looks good. The dropper is curved but if the product is tacky on the face it’s most likely real.

skybreedlove the bottom of the bottle normally has a batch code. Go online and look up Skinceuticals code check. And a couple sites will pop up. The one I use is code check and it has a little check mark as the logo. You have to scroll down the list to find it.

skybreedlove
skybreedlove The bottle should have some sort of code on it
Dec 25Reply
skybreedlove
skybreedlove The site also tells you when it expires + when it was made. The serum looks good.

skybreedlove
skybreedlove It still has the plastic wrapping from the original wrapping it seems like in the last picture. Was it claimed new or used.

sadiemarie6996 I thought it was a dead giveaway seeing the dropper because the drop arrive believe is supposed to just have a round end in this one is a ablong shape. Not to mention it has no smell and what I remember it smelling like in a legitimate bottle was quite potent

skybreedlove @sadiemarie6996 yes you’re right. to me that looks like a dropper from a different bottle. Or perhaps an expired container. The liquid inside is hard to keep consistent. Because each batch they make is honestly slightly different. Each batch has to get tested by company for the fda and the results are online if you look hard lol. But yes you are correct the dropper does look different.

skybreedlove @sadiemarie6996 just double check it online it’ll tell you. The when it was produced and when it expires. If that site doesn’t know the batch code then it’s fake.

mmr91 Is there a recycling symbol on the label? It doesn’t look like it. If not, then I’d guess it is fake. Also, my recently purchased CE serum dropper is flat at the bottom. Maybe it’s an older bottle design but my best friend sent me a photo of her CE serum in 2017 and her dropper was also flat at the end. So your bottle is likely fake.

samanthapaigey @sadiemarie6996 this just happened to me. Who did you buy it from? Mine has a batch code but no smell. I’ve been using this product for over a year and it should have a very distinct smell and be tacky. This one is like colored water.

adrianc1979 Not to be weird but the real stuff smells like hot dog water. Hope that’s helpful!☺️

raverz_nation @skybreedlove if the batch code pops up on the code check website, does that mean it’s authentic? What if the bottle doesn’t have a recycling logo on it? Thanks for your help; you seem knowledgeable about this! 😊

raverz_nation
raverz_nation @mmr91 hi there, do you think you can help me? I recently purchased a bottle with no recycle logo on it, but the batch code did pop up on the code checker sites, with a manufacture date of oct 2018. I’m having trouble deciding if the bottle is real or fake...
Mar 02Reply
skybreedlove
skybreedlove @raverz_nation If it pops up on my website it’s real. Website is affiliated with Skinceuticals.
Mar 02Reply
skybreedlove
skybreedlove @raverz_nation but that doesn’t mean that the product wasn’t tampered with inside. I’ve heard of people adding water or some thing to a product that was almost empty. It’s really hard to do it with the products that are in squeeze bottles, but the glass bottle that you have in this picture is easy to pour some thing into, but it’s pretty easy to notice it is like a completely different consistency. Color has variation every once and a while.
Mar 02Reply
skybreedlove
skybreedlove @raverz_nation Typically though it’s a constant. I know the color variations because I get the products all the time. Please don’t be hesitant to ask questions :)
Mar 02Reply
raverz_nation
raverz_nation @skybreedlove hmm thanks so much! The batch code does indicate that it is authentic, but so many other things are off, such as no recycle logo on bottle, bottle not completely full despite being sealed, and no patent number on the box...
Mar 02Reply
raverz_nation
raverz_nation @skybreedlove that makes it hard to trust that it’s real, even though the code pops up, but maybe it’s because this is an older box...
Mar 02Reply
mmr91
mmr91 @raverz_nation You could contact skinceuticals and ask them if their bottles from 2018 had a recycling symbol or not. But, I personally wouldn’t buy a bottle from 2018. For me, it’s too old/oxidized even if it’s unopened. I only buy directly from skinceuticals because when I purchased from authorized retailers like dermstore, the product was always a little dark. Dermstore told me it’s fine/normal.
Mar 02Reply
mmr91
mmr91 @raverz_nation Also, futurederm has a blog article about the effectiveness of Vit C serums in various states of oxidization. And I recommend you store it in the refrigerator to help prevent it oxidizing.
Mar 02Reply
raverz_nation
raverz_nation @mmr91 you’re probably right; it seems the hassle of trying to save $30-40 may not be worth and I should just bite the bullet. Thank you for you help!
Mar 02Reply
raverz_nation
raverz_nation @mmr91 thank you! I’ll check it out. 😊
Mar 02Reply
skybreedlove
skybreedlove @raverz_nation I sell authentic Skinceuticals, sadly most of my things are used unless stated otherwise. I sell what I don’t use on my clients. Or so I can purchase new products and I have only so much storage. I think I have a few good reviews too. So don’t trust me at my word. 😊 good luck. ❤️
Mar 02Reply
skybreedlove
skybreedlove @mmr91 yeah a lot of third parties end up having it in their warehouse/storage for a while. Skinceuticals has it in their warehouse/storage for a while so it’s just double the time it’s in a warehouse instead of getting sold. Also the third parties sometimes don’t keep it in the conditions it’s supposed to be in. So that’s a good thing that you’re buying it straight from SkinCeuticals! ❤️ I do the same.
Mar 02Reply
skybreedlove
skybreedlove @raverz_nation it’s Always nice to save! I’m always trying to get the best price. But your skin it’s The biggest organ you have. I personally have very very sensitive skin so I can only use SkinCeuticals and natural products. Even sometimes SkinCeuticals is too aggressive. So buying it straight from the source is always a great option.

nellis808 Hi I used to be esthetician and use this product for skin care for over 25 yrs now... just couple weeks ago had an experience buying $700 worth (10 bottles) of C E Ferulic from seller claiming authentic BUT! Not. And based on my research and comparing my real product from SkinCeuticals to the fake ones,

nellis808 I have some Real VS Fake pics you might want to see that may influence your next purchase of this product in the future and maybe be able to ask the seller challenge questions on real vs fake etc... I’m posting now so give me a few minutes. These fakes are unreal & made in China and LOOK so real! As a flight attendant traveling to Asia I have gained pretty good real vs fake identities most especially with Brands such as Gucci purses etc etc...

poohshoes @nellis808 May I see the fake vs real pictures? I purchased a fake one on-line and tested it on my arm. My arm had 3rd degree burns verified and documented by doctors. I sued the seller and won. These people are horrific! It looks so real and it was about $135.00 so I thought it would be real.

poohshoes @nellis808 What did you do when you realized that they were fake? I hoped you sued and the sellers lost their selling privileges and paid you damages.

nellis808 @poohshoes I was able to get a refund but when I returned the fake products they came back to me as undeliverable becuz their address did not exist. So they disappeared but I’m sure will come back out under a new name…

poohshoes @nellis808 Hi there. Last night, I sent @tebb69 a message regarding their authenticity. They replied confirming that it is 100% authentic. I proceeded to ask if they can post a picture of the barcode, recycling symbol on the box and they blocked me. Can PM do something about these horrible sellers?
Sep 24Reply
nellis808
nellis808 @poohshoes if they blocked you for sure they know their selling fake or old products…. You can always try and send PM some kind of notification on ur experience and hopefully they can track them…

poohshoes Please help. The product, Skinceuticals has a lot of fakes out there. Is it a counterfeit if the product, skinCeuticals. C E Ferulic does not have a trademark symbol after the word Ferulic?

poohshoes Hi there. Can someone please let me know if @kittylambott sell fake Skinceuticals? Apparently I asked all the right questions for the seller to block me. She said that Skinceuticals is made in Texas but blocked me when I asked her about the distribution"CAI" and other tall tell questions She will not reveal her retailer for Skinceuticals products. I appreciate your help.

dalemacaz I’m going to say fake based on the 3rd pic. There is a bubble on the label, like someone put a fake one on the bottle.

biancalana2 I’m a little late to the game, but that’s a fake/counterfeit item. The trademark symbol after like this: C E Ferulic®️ is both on the Box and the actual Label on the bottle
