irishladyluck24 They are heavy. The black one is a chinchilla fur; it was died all black and you can kinda see where the white would have been as it is a lighter tone of the make sense it's really cool looking. I can not give an exact date on when they were made however they were given to me from my aunt who claims she bought them from a farm sale in Missouri and thinks they were possibly made in the 80s if not before then. They are very well taken care of!
