Rare Vintage Kyoto Satsuma Dragonware Tea Set with Hidden Image This Set includes: 6 Tea cups 6 Saucers 6 dessert plates 3 teapots (small, medium, Large) 2 small cups 1 sugar or creamer vase This unique Dragonware has a hidden image of a raised face in the porcelain base which could be seen as a positive image when held up to the light. This technique is called Litophane and was made in Japan between the late 1930's and into the late 1950's/early 1960's. This is my most exquisite piece and favorite find!
