Rare Photo Of Babe Ruth In His Bedroom Slippers & Uniform In Hawaii 1933 or 1934

The Great Bambino, the legendary Hall of Famer Babe Ruth, played baseball all around the country during his reign. While staying at a bungalow in Hawaii, he stepped outside in his baseball uniform, still in his bedroom slippers! As the story goes, The Babe’s personal chauffeur told him that he wanted to take this picture and keep it for himself. The Babe posed and then was driven to play “his” game at Honolulu Stadium in 1933 or 1934. He arrived, changed from his bedroom slippers into his baseball cleats, stepped out onto the field and cracked a home run immediately. The photo has since been handed down through the years and ultimately exchanged in lieu of payment of a debt 35 years ago. This unique photograph captures a rare moment of the sports legend, Babe Ruth, in his slippers and baseball uniform during his visit to Hawaii in 1933 or 1934. The black and white picture measures 7" x 5" and is an original photo said to be taken by The Babe's personal chauffeur. This rare, vintage, historic piece of sports history is in great condition for being almost 100 years old with only slight yellowing in the lower right corner which only enhances its charm. The photograph is a one-of-a-kind piece, to the best of my knowledge, that has not been publicly distributed.
