Lillie Rubin is a clothing brand started in 1946 in Miami, Florida. Eventually, her suits and dresses were frequently featured on television shows and worn by many celebrities. Even Miley Cyrus has walked the red carpet in a Lillie Rubin suit. This suit is not for everyone but for someone who truly loves making a bold fashion statement this one-of-a-kind suit is a great opportunity to show your own unique style. This suit has always given me late 1940's to early 1950's suit vibes with it's bold shoulders and nipped in waist. It is a two piece suit of heavy stretch fabric. The pencil skirt is a simple, clean pull on skirt with a wide waistband. The bold suit jacket can be worn without a top thanks to the placket behind the hidden hook closure that hides your skin. The jacket features a stand-up collar and faux fur trim around wrist and around the collar, down the front, and around the bottom of the jacket. The jacket has shaping darts and shoulder pads to create an hourglass silhouette. I will be adding more pictures and measurements soon.
