Rare Antique Art Nouveau Willian Kerr Griffin Garnet Pendant

This amazing rare art nouveau sterling silver pendant from renowned New Jersey silversmith William Kerr started life as a belt buckle. A rare design, this repousse’ piece features gilded dimensional griffins with accents of genuine rhodolite garnets, both unusual for his designs. The buckle was filed off as you can see in the photos and a bale added. Measures 2 by 1 3/4”. Signed with his hatchet mark and inventory number 368.
