This material is not a variety of chrysoprase. Rather, it's itself a variety of chalcedony with distinctive gemological properties. It's as natural as a gemstone can be, yet it’s strong, durable, and its captivating color never fades! The material is natural and not chemically treated, therefore it has a market along side turquoise! (Please excuse the bizarre coloring of my hands!
