Randy the Raccoon

Vintage Randy the Raccoon toy. Comes like new in box, but not in working condition. I put batteries in him and he would not move or make noise. Randy could use some TLC. I am not sure, but the battery connection isn’t completely smooth, looks like possible corrosion on the plate? Measurements provided in photos.
