The width from one side to the next approximately where armholes would be is about 54". This is an open poncho. There are no actual armholes. PLEASE NOTE: Measurement photos are taken under different lighting. You may see shadows, light reflection, or fading of colors. These are not flaws, just results of taking the photos under different lighting. Any flaws will be noted in the non measurement photos and in the description. This poncho is 100% Italian wool yarn and is done in a navy to gray blue heather. It has cable panels mixed with a thick standard weave and a handkerchief hemline. It has turtle/cowl neck and keeps you very warm! There are a couple of small spots where their are small tie offs. I honestly can't even find them anymore so they won't be noticeable.
