RICHARD SYNEK Art Nouveau Belt Buckle Signed Vintage Woman Hair Bust ‘60’s-70’s New info on this piece: RICHARD SYNEK was an Accomplished sculptor/painter out of Manhattan in the 1960s and 70s, whose well known and highly collected chess sets currently sell for thousands of dollars per set. this lovely art nouveau damsel is quite a departure from his typical brutalist style. The buckle is signed on the back; see photos. It has no silver or silverplate markings, and appears to be pewter. Measurements in photos. Looks like it's made for a one inch belt, but there's a measurement of the opening/area where the belt would attach so please see photos and judge for yourself as it measures almost exactly one inch. I got it brand new, and never used it. It sat in my jewelry box all these years! It's beautiful and sweet, and very cool.
