I've just written a blog post about how to determine the authenticity of a TRIANGL bikini. There are way too many dupes on here that people assume are authentic, so please check out my post! thegracefulsavage.blogspot.com *DO NOT PURCHASE THIS LISTING*

Honestly at this point, if the seller doesn't have the bar coded bags or the inv, I can't buy it. The replicas are out of control and the people selling them are frustrating me with their defensiveness.

I think its important to note in your blog, in 2013 the invoices looked totally different. They came from Craig himself at craig triangl.com.au and the company was titled Triangl Limited. You can comfirm this with a customer care agent. The company then went to the new invoices with TRIANGL writen large across the top and craigs email was no longer on it.
Jun 29Reply

littlepolkadot
so if you see two different types of inv as proof, you know that the triangl.com.au was prior to them blowing up and not that they are infact the original valid confirmation email

ritapitachip
@littlepolkadot I know. I just got a Triangl top in the mail but the seller has no way to prove authenticity so I might try to return it. I hate that I have to be so vigilant about this because of a few bad ones (maybe more than a few).

@littlepolkadot Thanks for the heads up! I will update as soon as I can, my arm is just feeling a little weak after getting a couple of shots today. 😊
Jun 29Reply

littlepolkadot
@ritapitachip aw, hope you're okay!
I can fwd you both versions if you'd like as well
Jun 29Reply

ritapitachip
@littlepolkadot Thanks, you're so sweet! 😊 & yes, that would be great! My email is on my blog.

@ritapitachip @littlepolkadot I'm just curious, how bad have the dupes gone ? Like have you guys seen a bikini with a closed hem, like in the first point, yet still be fake ?
Jul 01Reply

littlepolkadot
@helloivytran yes forsure, especially in certain color of the millys. The combo colors I see far less dupes than the solids.
Winnies I see the least dupes of with closed hems in the back clasp.
As for other styles, a lot of Hollie Hide and python print indys are floating around posh as well as the basic colors in the chloes.
Jul 01Reply

littlepolkadot
@helloivytran The newer suits such as the cocos, florals, bibis have dupes but they are so expensive the ones you see on posh are most likely real because the cost is almost equal. At the end of the day the combo colors millys, the white milly (because the inside is off white not white), the newer colors, and the winnies are the safest or easiest to spot dupes
Jul 01Reply

ritapitachip
@helloivytran Definitely what littlepolkadot said! She's been a Triangl lover long before I even knew what Triangl was. 😊 The dupes are really quite abundant on Posh! The first two Triangl tops I've ever gotten off of here were both dupes, yet I had no idea that they were. Just make sure you're certain you're purchasing an authentic piece; don't settle if people can't show proof.
Jul 01Reply

helloivytran
@littlepolkadot @ritapitachip Ohh, okaay then, I see. I didn't know dupes got that bad, I thought if you noticed one or few things different then you'd know you had a fake and there'd be no questions about it but dang. 😳

@allisonjamison1 Just found the listing and reported her to Merc! Honestly when people get too aggressive/defensive I instead just report the listing to Posh/Merc. Seriously sucks that some people lie to make more money. Props to you for calling her out. Happy 4th! 😊
Jul 04Reply

ritapitachip
@allisonjamison1 Reported the listings as well. Hopefully Merc responds quickly! In my experience though, they're typically quite slow. They've really got to up their customer service game.
Jul 05Reply

helloivytran
Is there something significant between a real and fake Triangl bottom ?
Jul 05Reply

ritapitachip
@helloivytran Honestly it can be really difficult to tell, especially since Triangl has switched up the shape of the classic bottoms. Sometimes fakes are really obvious when their shape is nothing like a Triangl bottom, or if it's missing a line of trimming on the sides of colorblocked bottoms. I think the best way to be sure it's authentic is to have the seller take a photo of either the barcoded bag or the confirmation email.
Jul 05Reply

helloivytran
Ohh, okay, thank you for your help. (:
Jul 05Reply

ritapitachip
@allisonjamison1 Thanks for catching that, I totally forgot! Yes, @helloivytran, you can ask Triangl's live help if you want to check what color the lining should be. 😊
Jul 06Reply

helloivytran
Poppy Sea Spritz is supposed to be orange inside ? Someone on Merc is selling a bunch of Triangls and some are the Poppy Sea Spritz with a black inside.
Jul 07Reply

ritapitachip
@helloivytran Yes, the Poppy Sea Spritz should definitely be orange on the inside. I always report those listings if I see them on Merc.
Jul 07Reply

francheskav18
could you do me a favor and check if the one I just posted is authentic?? I would hate to have bought a dupe. I got it from someone on merc
Jul 08Reply

ritapitachip
@francheskav18 Hmm I will admit I haven't seen bottoms with that specific color and cut combination before. @littlepolkadot might have come across them before though!
Jul 08Reply

francheskav18
tysm!!
Jul 08Reply

littlepolkadot
@francheskav18 could be the Winnie mint, that has the thinner sides and black inside
Jul 08Reply

ritapitachip
@littlepolkadot Yes I was thinking that but didn't know Triangl produced thin sides for that specific design. Is it a newer thing or do they just very rarely pop up on Posh/Merc?
Jul 08Reply

littlepolkadot
@ritapitachip I have an authentic Winnie Mint if she wants me to measure. Yes remember the winnies have very little good dupes and the seam behind the clasp is always cut, unlike the millys that have a million good dupes with closed seams
Jul 08Reply

ritapitachip
@littlepolkadot Yeah I remember the seams on the Winnie but how can you tell when people are selling the bottoms alone? Aside from colorblocked bottoms or ones with odd interior colorings it gets really difficult to tell.
Jul 08Reply

littlepolkadot
@ritapitachip you're absolutely right. The insides are generally soft to the touch if they are new
Jul 08Reply

ritapitachip
@littlepolkadot It totally sucks that with many bottoms it's nearly impossible to tell.. But I guess that's where the confirmation email/barcoded bags come in!
Jul 08Reply

ritapitachip
@allisonjamison1 👍 Yeah it seems she does that quite a lot..
Jul 09Reply

helloivytran
Can you guys help me decipher if the bikini top that I have in my most recent post is real or fake ? :( I'm leaning towards fake but I don't want to jump to conclusions without having other people's opinions on it, esp people who are more knowledgeable about Triangl.
Jul 10Reply

kristengodsey1
Also wanted to add that there's NO such thing as people being able to "buy directly from the manufacturer!" Sellers who claim they can place group orders and get discounted prices for you are ordering fakes. 😕
Jul 10Reply

melonsquare
@carolinee29 a reference
Jul 10Reply

ritapitachip
@helloivytran Would you like for me to post some photos of my dupe Milly?
Jul 10Reply

ritapitachip
@kristengodsey1 Great note! Mind if I add that to my blog post? 😊
Jul 10Reply

kristengodsey1
@ritapitachip absolutely! Go for it :)
Jul 11Reply

Yes please ! Everything will help. 😫

eclarsson
Sooooo are you selling these tops at all?
Jul 29Reply

ritapitachip
@lovelauryn I agree, they do look authentic.. But it also does strike me as being a little suspicious that she has so many that are completely new. I remember there were one or two other similar sellers but they seem to have disappeared from Posh. Personally I try to stay away from these particular sellers, though I remember that one of them actually did have the bar coded bag. Any thoughts @littlepolkadot?
Jul 29Reply

ritapitachip
@eclarsson Nope! Read the description. 😊
Jul 29Reply

littlepolkadot
@ritapitachip I've been wondering the same for ages. She never has bags or boxes and anytime anyone asks she usually avoids the question. I've asked myself because I found one I liked and I never got a response. I have no idea how someone could sell these new styles so much cheaper than the regular cost. Maybe someone can ask...no idea but they all look authentic.
Jul 29Reply

littlepolkadot
@ritapitachip the suspect thing to me is she gets them all at once ... new... from somewhere...and it's obviously not triangl. But they look so legit so very confusing!
Jul 29Reply

eclarsson
I did. Seemed like a valid question ✌🏻️
Jul 30Reply

littlepolkadot
kritty_cat Holy crap...everything is fake
Jul 31Reply

ritapitachip
@littlepolkadot I reported every listing of hers.. And I have to say, I'm so glad to see that so many people called her out for it!
Jul 31Reply

@ritapitachip me too it makes me not ever want to sell this brand again
Jul 31Reply

jenm178
@littlepolkadot @ritapitachip what about bikinibelle? Any thoughts?
Aug 01Reply

ritapitachip
@littlepolkadot I'm sorry to hear that. ☹️
Aug 03Reply

ritapitachip
@jenm178 I feel the same about bikinibelle as I do bikinikini; I honestly just can't tell since all the bikinis look authentic but she doesn't seem to be fond of responding to requests for further proof. Heck, maybe they're the same person.. Bikinibelle seems to be less active these days. 😮
Aug 03Reply

littlepolkadot
@ritapitachip it's getting frustrating to see all these dupes with no action from posh...
Aug 07Reply

@littlepolkadot Totally agree! I've been reporting them just as much as I ever have but nothing seems to be happening. ☹️

@ritapitachip mystery solved about the posher who has a ton of Triangls and no bar coded bags. I bought one...
Aug 27Reply

ritapitachip
@littlepolkadot Omg! What happened?
Aug 27Reply

littlepolkadot
@ritapitachip its the sugar Marley I posted. Not soft at all inside and came with round stickers on the bags but they were peeled off
Aug 27Reply

littlepolkadot
...I could see where they originally were
Aug 27Reply

littlepolkadot
My other one came as well also not soft inside
Aug 27Reply

littlepolkadot
This was from one of each of my questionable poshers who sell a ton with no bar coded bags
Aug 27Reply

ritapitachip
@littlepolkadot Sheesh. Well thanks for finding out! I should've known it was too good to be true. ☹️
Aug 28Reply

littlepolkadot
@ritapitachip there's just no way anyone is getting them in full inventory from anywhere but triangl, that's the facts. Now I'm stuck with two fakes and one more on the way that I can't even prove because they look real from first glace.
Aug 28Reply
