How Levi's " 569″ was born
Levi's is overwhelmingly famous for its classic "501," but the model introduced here, the "569," is also a must-have. In the mid-1970s, punk culture became popular, and items that added damage to slim-fit jeans became a trend. In the 1980s, the hip-hop culture, which was the opposite of rock 'n' roll, favored loose-fitting pants with a loose silhouette. Among B-Boys with gangster culture, returning from prison became a source of bragging rights, and loose-fitting pants like those worn in prison were considered cool. Levi's took notice of this trend and sold loose-fit models. The "569" was born at that time.
