RARE Vintage 1970s Handmade Genuine Leather Flower Brooch and Earrings by Daphne

This ca. 1970s' set by Daphne, handmade and hand painted, is extremely hard to find. You may see a brooch here and there, but sets are rare. This one comes in its original box. The flowers are apparently amaryllis or other variety of lily. Pin has a rollover clasp, and the earrings, screw-backs. * "Daphne" was Daphne Lingwood, noted Canadian designer and entrepreneur who specialized in handmade leather jewelry and accessories. She hired local women to make the jewelry in their homes, giving them an opportunity to earn an income and develop their creativity. She is a featured "inspiring woman" in the Peel Art Gallery, Museum, and Archives. SIZE (approx): Brooch: 3 1/4″ by 2 1/2"; earrings: 1 1/4" x 1". CONDITION: Excellent. The leather is all intact, with no cracks or chips. Some of the pain in the cnter has surface cracking. Pin is straight with tight clasp and hinge; earring backs are tight. I've lightly conditioned these with leather conditioner, and they look great. * Information from the PAMA website
