VINTAGE c1950 ARCHIMEDE SEGUSO MURANO GLASS PHEASANT SCULPTURE Magnificent Murano Italy Glass Pheasant Sculpture designed by Archimede Seguso circa 1950. The art glass sculpture is the original "Genuine Venetian Glass Made in Murano Italy". This rare innovative techniques to create this masterpiece, it is one of the most elaborate and one of the most beautiful ever made by Seguso. Featured is an gold flakes with green pheasant with an extra long stretched glass emerald green tail with ribbing to simulate feathers, and internal bullicante controlled bubbles throughout. The head is elaborately decorated with a perfectly formed applied clear glass beak, glass eyes, clear glass ribbed comb, and a pulled glass plume from crown to neck with internal gold flecks. The pheasant is of impressive size and it is perched atop an elaborate and ornamental ribbed pedestal base. Total height is 9"the figurine is 11" long; 2.5" in diameter at the base. The glass is in pristine condition, without any signs of damage, repair or age wear. An exceptional piece that defines the amazing artistry of this master glass maker. Controlled bubble glass.
