HARD TO FIND 20th Century Ivory Bone & Silver Plate Hinge Bangle Bracelet. The bone has a subtle eternity circle pattern. The silver plate caps have a raised abstract arabesque floral style motif and the clasp is a silver pin closure. Interior wrist dimension approximately 2.25" diameter. Please refer to the photographs for design and condition. This is a VINTAGE near antique rare find.

josephmoreno837 In the description when you say silver plate? Do you mean the hinges or is it silver plated metal?

cec0307 @josephmoreno837 hi - the hinges and caps (everything that is not ivory) is silver plate I believe. This was near antique when I received as a gift as a teenager from my mother so I don’t have much information except what I recall and researched. It is an amazing piece.

cec0307 @josephmoreno837 I will check the piece for some silver stamps / markings again. The silver caps and hinge could be sterling or plate. The caps are like a sheet of silver encapsulating the end of the bone and have been bent to create the raised design. But yes by definition silver is created by covering a base metal, such as copper or brass with a layer of sterling silver. Hope this helps!
