Hardback - leather and linen binding. Ribbon page marker. 928 printed pages. Heavy Rag (cotton fiber) pages. Lightly “coated” linen allows gentle cleanup. Red leather spine, embossed with metallic foil lettering. Gold gilt top pages.
CONDITION:
Slipcase – Good/Age appropriate. This sturdy cover has done its job since 1968. Some scratches, digs, and fading, but glue, strength, and integrity is still intact.
Exterior – Good. No defects to front or back cover. Top of the spine has chipped with age, with some light scratches and creasing on the bottom half.
Interior Body – Very Good. No odors, fade, markings, or stains. Sewn binding, tight seams, no loose pages; paper quality is crisp and hearty. Only one light pencil marking on the flyleaf from the original book dealer, “leather and linen binding,” and can be erased. Otherwise, all interior pages are pristine, no known flaws. Endpages have high color, glue mount intact.
