lucky_girl @liseml I own and love this exact bag, and it IS the one where the 2 parts separate completely. The 5th photo here shows them separated, attached by the buckles in the center. This 2 part bag is great for heavy packers, because you can separate it and check 2 bags instead of one overweight bag!
