An exquisite decorative enamel Trinket Box. A perfect gift for any occasion.
This particular piece called "The Becket Casket" shows a reliquary made in about 1180-90 in Limoges, France, and depicts one of the most infamous events in English history, the murder of Archbishop Thomas Becket.
This "chasse" shaped reliquary is made of gilt-copper round a wooden core, intricately decorated with champleve enamel to tell the story of Thomas Becket through literal and symbolic imagery.
This round trinket box is gray on top with the reliquary, royal blue edge with gold trim. There is a hinge on the lid and the measurements are approx 3.25" in diameter and 1.25" tall
