RARE Atocha Coin Pendant

Nuestra Señora de Atocha was a Spanish treasure galleon that sank in a hurricane off the Florida Keys in 1622. At the time of her sinking, Nuestra Señora de Atocha was heavily laden with gold, silver and other treasures. Coin was found washed up on a beach in Key West after Hurricane Irma in 2017 while wrecking by my husband. My husband had it set in a sterling silver bezel by a local jeweler who says it was not an actual coin found by Mel Fisher, but crafted by Fisher from the silver bars found in the motherload. It is a beautiful symbol of history.
