This beautiful set of bowls from Purinton Pottery are from their Brown Intaglio line, first introduced in June 1950. They have handpainted brown stripes down the sides, with a mountain flower and leaf design incised into the brown. There are indented "handles" on the sides. Perfect for cereal, soup or dessert!
Purinton Pottery was established in 1936 in Ohio, and relocated to Pennsylvania in 1941. They were known for their handpainted dinnerware and pottery, and continued producing until 1959 when the rise of inexpensive imports drove them from the business.
Measure 5-1/4" wide and 2" tall.
These bowls are in very good vintage condition, with no cracks. There is some light crazing on the inside of the bowls. One bowl has a .5cm chip (shown in photos), and two other bowls have tiny "flea bite" chips.
