If this helps anyone I got the large and I felt it was true to size just a looser fit. I might have been able to get a medium, but not it would have fit on my body maybe closer fit not sure if it would have been shorter. This sweater is on the shorter side, but not too short if you know what I mean. It hit above my hips so it's not like my belly is showing or anything. I'm short between a regular and petite. Not sure how many washes it will last, but I will enjoy during the fall season!
