Here is a stunningly beautiful fine bone china tea cup and saucer set produced by Princess China Co. between 1945 through the 1952 according to the backstamp. This bright white china is painted with such gorgeous and vivid deep purple with green leaves and then painted with copious amounts of gold etching and trim. The wide mouth cup is fluted and has a short square gold trimmed scalloped base, wide gold rim, fully painted interior, and a gold trimmed closed loop handle. The matching saucer is scalloped, trimmed in gold and painted in the same bright and vivid colors. Both the cup and saucer and the gold trim are perfectly intact on this set, no flaws.
Stamped on the bottom of both cup and saucer in green and gold is "PRINCESS China Hand Painted Occupied Japan" with the crown and ferns.
You can see this lovely set is in wonderful condition with no flaws, cracks, crazing or chips.
Cup H 2 inches. Cup W 3 3/4 inches. With Handle 5 inches. Saucer Diameter 5 1/2 inches.
This beautiful set would be a very nice gift for someone special or possibly a lovely addition to your collection or maybe just a special treat for your tea time!
Vintage Note: Please remember that vintage and antique items have already had a previous life. Therefore, there may be an occasional imperfection. I take great care to describe any flaws and provide correct information about the age and details of the items.
