Preschool matching game

Do you have a hunter or a gatherer in your home? With 16 years experience teaching preschool, I can tell you that girls have an easier time learning to identify letters than the boys do. The object of the game is to match the neighbors on your playing card to the appartment game board. The students are encouraged to start in the upper left hand corner and work their way down. This pre-reading skill is a foundational skill of reading. Students will need to look closely at the game card and notice the differences between neighbors. Are the eyes open or closed... are they smiling... are they wearing a hat, glasses, ear rings, scarf...! Also the game is completely washable if sanitation is a priority for you. One more thing...
