"The most expensive cashmere in the world is Himalayan Cashmere, also known as Ladakhi Cashmere."
Himalayan cashmere comes from Pashmina goats in the high-altitude regions of Ladakhi in Kashmir, India.
"Pashmina is often described as feeling like a cloud against the skin."
Extremely rare in an overcoat. Traditionally, the hand-crafted cashmere has been hand-sewn by artisans into smaller luxury accessories only.
Our overcoat has been hand-woven, hand-tailored, and customized by bespoke tailors in Scotland, imported from Vale (Valley) of Kashmir, India.
Quality: "Himalayan Cashmere is known for its exceptional softness, warmth, and comfort and is considered to be of the highest quality."
Rarity: "Himalayan Cashmere is rare and produced only once a year."
Processing: "Cashmere finest fibers are manually processed to produce Pashmina shawls, scarves, or smaller accessories."
"Pashmina is more labor-intensive to produce than cashmere because it's traditionally hand-crafted. Artisans hand-spin the delicate fibers into yarn using traditional spinning wheels and then hand-weave the yarn into fabric on traditional looms. Machine-made cashmere products are less expensive because they don't require the same level of craftsmanship."
Exceptional hand, solely bespoke, dearer than vicuña from A&S, Arny, Berl, Brio, LP, TF, Zeg. (Arg, Bol, Chile, Mong, Peru)
