Yes - 14" includes the handle. Smoke-free home and stored in a dust bag in my walk-in closet. No storage odors.

@melindaandrade Is the leather pliant? I am wondering if you can push on the leather to reveal more of the hardware of the top handle, making enough room to clip on a slim clip for a longer strap.
