Powell Expedition Medal and Pictures from the celebration

These medals were minted in 1969 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the great Powell Expedition along the Colorado River, which occurred in 1869.  The medals were minted by Medallic Art Company in .999 fine silver. This was framed in, I believe in Salt Lake City, Utah, by the original owners.
