Great advice! That's a very positive way to look at something that I - to be perfectly honest- did take personal offense to before reading this!
Thank you,for your insight! :-) ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

@corporatebarbie this was awesome to read. I try not to lowball but I do take their bundle price into account. I.e. If they offer 20% off a bundle I usually take that to mean they'd be okay with a 20% reduction so I will maybe start at 25%. I hope that is an okay bargaining technique! I do wonder why so many people don't have a bundling discount set up. I usually don't even shop those closets because it seems like there's no benefit. Im sure I would rethink it for the right item. Haha!

@corporatebarbie I think what makes me crazy is just because something is new with tags but been sitting in your closet unworn for two years doesn't mean you can take $10 off $80 item and call that a reasonable price. Retail closets of course are different. 😎 oh and what about 5% bundles with 5 items and then your closet is tiny.

corporatebarbie
@christieloving you sound like you are super thoughtful and considerate when making an offer!! It can't hurt to try in closets that don't offer a bundle discount. For example, I have mine set to 10%, but am willing to take 50% off some of the items in my closet. You never know!!

Love it! I've read some comments that were very disparaging to the bidder. You just don't know their situation. If I can't accept the bid, I usually leave a short comment why and thanking them anyway.

@shaynola you are right, you never know!

On the other hand, when I offer a bid that is lower than 10-20% off, I always comment to the seller so they know I am a serious buyer and am not trying to offend.

I just came across this..I totally agree! I look at it as anyone could just be low on funds, and may just return to the closet when things change! ☺

I think this is such great advice! I welcome lowball offers. It's strategy and I would rather give a little than lose a sale completely. I set a price expecting to be offered less, and If not, great! I think it's part of the game. Being offended is silly. Love your closet and items I have purchased from you before! Great branding!

I totally ♡ you! I feel the exact same way. I love to trade and I negotiate flea market style. I'm putting together quite a big bundle so hope we can help each other out. :)

@lblack13 thank you so much! And thanks for your offer. It was totally reasonable, but I had to counter because I am selling the Supreme shirt for my son and he is holding firm in his price. Hope this works for you!

@corporatebarbie - I decided to just pay the extra. The shirt is for my 11 yr old son. Just based on your posts I can see you are trustworthy so I know I am getting the real thing. He is worried I will get knock offs and kids will make fun of him.
I have no idea what this Supreme stuff even is but whoever started it is making a fortune off of throwing a word on a basic tshirt. LOL
Oct 08Reply

corporatebarbie
@lblack13 it's authentic. I would be happy to include my receipt if you are worried. I am worried though that it's going to be too big for him. It's too big for my 13yo.

@corporatebarbie - Oh! I didn't even realize it was a men's size. Idk what I was thinking. Have you already shipped? If not, I am thinking maybe I should just get the other items. Do you think it would shrink?
Oct 09Reply

corporatebarbie
@lblack13 I don't think it will shrink, unfortunately. Do you want me to cancel this order and make you a new bundle of
The other items?
Oct 09Reply

lblack13
@corporatebarbie - I am so sorry but I think that would be best. I still want the other items and I am going to look again to see if there are any other items I want to add. Thank you for bringing it to my attention and being nice enough to let me change it.

This is the realest, I agree. Some people are on here to make a full time business out of Poshing, but others are happy just to offload items and get some money out of it. You never know what someone’s motivation and lowest price is until you ask! 💖💖 Communication is the key, as it is in all interpersonal interactions. 😊
