Hello friends! Some of you have asked me for advice. Thank you for reaching out, and I will gladly share what I've learned and what I've found to help me along the way. Please note some of this is just my personal thoughts and opinions, but also advice I've taken from fellow mentors and friends when I first started selling. Plus if I ever want to add onto it I can just write in the comments or make another listing. I've been doing very good, thank you. brunomars90 @chanelmagaw Hi! Secret Posher games are a very popular and efficient way to gain thousands of followers. The people that create them also may title them differently based on how they want to make the game. If that is what you're looking for I think that is your best bet. There are rules, simple and easy - you just have to read the slides. To gain a lot of followers you have to follow a lot of people as well. I'll tag you on a friend's listing. 😊

brunomars90 @midnitesky143 Hey there! Thanks for visiting. 😁 A PM editor pick is when @pm_editor automatically shares one or more of your listings to every Posher's feed, thus giving it more exposure and likelihood of selling because people tend to share these items more.

brunomars90 @midnitesky143 If you go through their shares you will see a vast majority of them have already sold. I've been fortunate enough to already get 3 (2 of them were sales). It definitely boosts your chances in that aspect. Maybe it was just a coincidence but I got my first PM editor pick shortly after I emailed them about what exactly it is they look for when they're sharing these. I suggest perhaps going that route and emailing them your interest in getting one.

brunomars90 @dalinn1 Hey Debbie! A PM editor pick is when @pm_editor shares an item from your closet to every Posher's news feed. It's an honorable pick because it gets shared by a ton of people, ultimately increasing its chances of selling and finding a new home. :) A lot of people tend to share items that PM editor shares which is why most of his shares always say SOLD.

brunomars90 @dalinn1 Being active means sharing from a lot of closets aside from your own, following new members, etc. Participating in Posh Parties is a great way to be socially active. Some people appreciate being congratulated on their Host Picks and you sharing them as well with your followers. They will return the love and share your closet as well and/or follow you.

brunomars90 @dalinn1 Yes but their closet consists of upcoming special events, etc and not for selling purposes. I tagged them on my previous post, so you can just click there to see what they share and more. They sometimes share items selected by party hosts so it's always a plus to get a host pick. I do know that they look for clean and clear covershots and being posh compliant is a must.

scifiwriter Hi there! What a helpful list, very concise. Wish I would have read this when I started last August. No one ever welcomed me and learned everything the hard way. I see on new posters comments they are given advice all the time. Oh well. Lol Glad I never shared from others closets to a party. I just figured they would do that if they wanted to.

brunomars90 @moonwind75 Hi, I don't use any apps and just use nature's natural lighting to bring life to my photos. 😊 All pictures except mannequin layouts are taken by my bedside window and I try to take them when the sun is giving off the most light. What has also helped me is that I assemble my gatherings on soft backgrounds, meaning I use a white fur carpet or solid poster boards so that I don't have too much of an overpowering background going on and it doesn't take away from what is being modeled.

When I was fairly new I had some listings that were not Posh Compliant but thankfully some good friends and learning the rules contributed to my positive turnaround. I always wondered why it was so hard getting my first ever host pick, but it was because of the non compliant items. When I finally got rid of them the host picks just kept coming. scifiwriter Hi there. I love Bruno Mars too! I really can’t complain about sales. It just took so long to learn about sharing etc. I never make sales when I share to a party, but share closet while a party going on. I’m 98% to being an ambassador. Do you get more exposure when you are an ambassador Thanks for the help

brunomars90 @scifiwriter I see where you're coming from. Sometimes sales are slow for me too but nonetheless I'm constantly sharing from everyone when I can - new Posher's, vets, boutiques, posh parties and a lot of them will share back (thus introducing my closet to others) and even follow.

brunomars90 @scifiwriter Posh Ambassadors do get more exposure because it's a privilege and a title, and like everything else comes with rewards. You will get more followers here and there and more shares, etc. It used to be called suggested user and you would get up to 1,000+ new followers within the hour, but Poshmark changed some things and it is now called Posh Ambassador. A different Posh Ambassador is being suggested to you every second if you search under "find people".

brunomars90 @scifiwriter As a Posh Ambassador I no longer get up to 1K new followers as I did when I was a suggested user. Now it's more scattered and I get about 5+ in less than a minute but within different hours.

But when I use the App, it actually takes away from the item. Your the best and I can see you are very helpful to many. brunomars90 @moonwind75 Ah I see I see. Okay. I use the notepad on my phone to make my host pick emoji congratulations posts so that I am able to align it accordingly. I have a lot of them saved already so that I can just transition whenever I want and copy/paste a new one per party. Practice makes perfect and if it doesn't align the way you want it to just copy/paste again and add the necessary spaces or font where needed until you are happy with the result.

dtb122 @brunomars90 You’re profile pic, then how many listings, then ALL, then the dropbox that gives you options Women, Men, Kids, Plus, Boutiques and Luxury. That dropbox used to allow you to choose the category, in which you were searching for...Accessories, Bags, Dresses, Skirts, Tops...etc. So let’s say I’m shopping through your closet, but I only want to look at dresses...do I have to now look through your entire closet? Where did those filters go? 🤷‍♀️

You can see all those categories if you click on the little picture that looks like a martini glass (right under boutique) on your home page... that's how the platform is for me, not sure if it's the same for you. I'm always browsing through the Poshmark app on my cell, very rarely online

I too was excited for my host pick. 😁 A helpful tip in case you are seeking more HPs is to go into the hostess party listing and congratulate them while also sharing a couple of their listings. You will definitely stand out if they see you are sharing their party listing/closet often. Good luck!

melissabass2 @brunomars90 Hi! Love this and it’s so informative. I always feel bad when someone shares a lot of my listings and I go to share some of theirs, but see lots of non complaint stuff. If I see they’ve been on here for years and have over 100+ sales I’m pretty sure they know the rules. Is the standard to try and not share listings of non-complaint closets when you’re a posh ambassador? I want to do the right thing, but also not be rude😬 Thanks so much for your help!!

The thing is, there are those who know the importance of being compliant but choose to neglect it for whatever reason, and then there's those who don't know any better but at least make the attempt to fix the problem once they've reached out for help.

brunomars90 @melissabass2 I'm always willing to help those that want to improve their closet, but I am not the person that will openly tell somebody they are breaking the rules because at the end of the day it's their closet and their decision making and I want to avoid problems at all cost. With that being said, if a person is posh compliant or not I still share from them if they've shared from me - I just don't share the stuff that is not compliant.

brunomars90 @melissabass2 I sent Poshmark an email if excellent used/gently used bathing suits are allowed because I don't have the exact answer at the moment. I've actually wondered about that myself because I've seen various HPs awarded to these even though they were not NWT and considering bras/underwear/lingerie have to be NWT. I will let you know when I get an answer from them.

It's okay to list them even if they are not NWT. They just want to make sure that the condition is accurately described to avoid return from the buyer.

My best advice is to increase your amount of shares; consider joining a share group or participating in share games...a lot of people find success and increasing sales from sharing from each others closets. Some people will make a listing especially for it also including the minimum amount of shares to be done.

brunomars90 @nholloman2013 If you don't want to commit to a share group, then you can always just do free shares and share from random people. Spread the shares and include new Posher's, vets, boutiques, etc. Some will share your items in return with their followers. More shares = more exposure for everybody's closet and increases the possibility for sales.

Other than that I would say to keep your hopes up and stay patient. I've too gone days where nothing sells but nonetheless I still make it a priority to share, share, share because that really helps.

brunomars90 @nholloman2013 Hello, what you can do is type "share group" into your Poshmark search box and then you will see different options to choose from. If you're looking for just kids share groups specifically then type in "share group" and filter to where you only get kids options.

poshielisa I don't know if someone mentioned this already but a great way to get a lot of follow backs is to go to someone's FOLLOWERS list and follow them. When I go to New/Fresh/Just Joined, hardly anyone follows back, yes you can argue you're still getting exposure, but when you follow posher' followers list, those people are more likely the follow back and share type. Plus it's their last 1,000 followers...

That sounds similar to the secret posher game and all other games that involve following the followers of the chosen people; only the difference here is you can opt to choose which person's followers you'll follow without having to commit to a game...if that makes sense. 😂 They are quite successful and easy, not time consuming at all really - just hit all the blue follow buttons and see your followers to grow!

I recommend double checking your email to see if you might have missed the email. On your email type "poshmark support" in the search box and see what comes up on your inbox/spam/deleted messages.

Sharing the same item multiple times will not change anything as far as keeping it at the top of the page, etc. Only the very first share will get acknowledged so sharing it multiple times would just be a "wasteful share" in other words.

brunomars90 @snowflake2281 We being the owners of our closet share our own items to the party feed - this counts as the first and only acknowledged share unless one of your items was chosen as a Host Pick by one of the hosts. It is important that when others share your closet they are sharing it with their FOLLOWERS and NOT directly to the party because chances are you already did.

brunomars90 @pisces225 Hi! I'm currently using the iphone 8 and use natural lighting by my bedside window. I try to only photograph when the sun is giving off the most light. I don't use any special apps for filters. If I have to make slight changes I just do it off of the phone's settings. I think having a solid white background underneath like a poster board or fur carpet helps the photos look more clean and vivid.

I have spent so much time sending and sharing items over and over thinking they and I would get mire exposure. Correct me if I’m wrong.... share an item once to party and once yo followers is ok? brunomars90 @piccicu Yes, YOU being the owner of YOUR closet means YOU have to share YOUR items directly to the party, and every other person that is sharing your closet too must share your items with their FOLLOWERS only. Only the first share to the party gets acknowledged. Sharing multiple times to the party will not bump your listing up - it does nothing except serve as a wasteful share.

Everyone that shares it after is or should be sharing it with their followers only because getting it shared by the host already served as the first share to the party.

brunomars90 @sallysingerlbk Hi, I have listed above examples of items that are not supported under the Poshmark platform (perfume, used underwear, used makeup, etc.) Makeup and underwear have to be NWT and only select home goods are allowed. brunomars90 @sallysingerlbk Hi, with all due respect - it was YOU that came to ME for help when you asked me on an earlier post "how do you do a compliant closet?" To answer that question one must have a closet that only sells supported items. After I reviewed your closet I informed you that the only thing in question were the roller skates. I emailed Poshmark for confirmation because I didn't want to give you a wrong answer. POSHMARK then confirmed with me that roller skates are not Posh compliant.

It's up to you whether or not you want to keep a noncompliant item for sale, although you run the risk for doing so. People are going to continue to sell noncompliant items but that's because A. They're not familiar with the rules or B. They don't care and choose to list noncompliant items anyway.

I’ve been burned by a seller here that sold fake Rodan and Fields lash boost. Now THAT is a problem. Live and learn. Appreciate the information...I’m just cranky after buying the fake product.....

I can see your point as far as roller skates being similar to shoes so why wouldn't it be okay to sell them, right? Well, back when I was fairly a new seller I had a magazine and a book that I was selling without knowing these were unsupported items.

Up until now books are now allowed since Poshmark introduced Home Goods. However, the point I'm trying to make is that Poshmark has their reasons for why only select items are allowed to be sold on their platform and it's their rules to follow.

brunomars90 @mygrant486 Hi, if one of your questions was related to posh compliant items then after reviewing your closet I only came across 3 non-compliant items: 2 toys and 1 hair curler styling tool. It's up to you to keep them listed if you want, however you possibly run the risk of getting reported for them. Exposure = shares ; the more people share it with their followers the greater the chance for a possible sale. Not only this but it also welcomes new followers because if people like what they see they will want to visit your closet, follow you, and maybe even purchase something.

brunomars90 @tricia_mm Adding HP to the title is optional and yes it's to easily identify that the item has been chosen as a HP before. Some party hosts want to share listings that are freshly new and have not been picked before so I guess adding it to the title for everyone to see also serves as a courtesy.
