desiraek Just wanted to give you a heads up that if you're unsure that your ivory piece is actual ivory, I would market it as bone. It's illegal in California to sell anything that is from an endangered species.

mmwhite1 @desiraek thank you for the heads up- I had it with a consignment shop and he called it bone, so I'll go with that- it's a very old piece handed down in my family. Probably at least 50- 75 years old.

desiraek @mmwhite1 I don't know how to tell the difference. I found a piece in a grab bag of jewelry that I don't know which it is. But, I learned about the selling aspect when I was helping with an estate that all kinds of furs from leopard to seal. The daughter was stuck with them.

mmwhite1 @desiraek very interesting. Is it illegal to sell fur in CA also? I have a stuffed animal made from my mothers mink coat that I want to sell.👀 I don't want to offend anyone. Maybe I should just pull the rose listing. Dilemma.
