When creating your show, you will now see a required field for Show Type and can choose Live or Silent. Live shows provide the opportunity to display your items in-depth and allow you to connect with your shoppers in real-time! For silent shows, your show will default to having the camera and audio off, but you can always turn these on if you change your mind on the right side for host controls.
Fun fact: Viewers stay in LIVE shows 12x longer and also average 40x more sales than silent shows thus, we only recommend hosting silent shows for personal practice.
Feeling shy? There are many other ways you can host a LIVE show. You can always invite a friend up to co-host with you. All they have to do is leave a comment in your chat while you’re live and you can then click on their username and invite them up as co-host. Another way is to have your camera facing the other direction and just showcasing the item without you in frame!

My motivation for GOING LIVE is to have better rapport with my customers. I also feel like going live helps the buyer making an informed purchase not just going off of posted pictures and descriptions. I’ve learned that this retains clientele and has a better return on your investment.

I love doing live shows, but I think I pick wrong time slots. I would love to see some data on live shows like peak times when certain categories sell. My suspicion is morning yoga and athletic wear do better than evening. Just based on my personal experience but I would really like to see it with data behind it.

I know people are pretty chill when we are learning , but I know I will panic and not function if I have to learn and do the live at the same time. Idk why I never thought of you tube before. Live Shows has created more problems than sales!!!! This has caused lower start prices which are ridiculous. Also, this is causing more problems because now we are competing with other social media platforms. Should have NEVER 👎 offered Live Shows to begin with!!! It just made everything more complicated than it had to be. Before it was fun 🤩 because of the anticipation and conventionalism of waiting for a response! Now everything is INSTANT GRATIFICATION.

Done 2 live shows. Listed for WAY less than they were worth. ZERO sales. All items sold within 3 mo. for 4× offered in live shows.
It took a little longer, but I made more $, posh made more$.
BTW. I've never bought anything from a LS. Not interested in watching a stranger drone on & on. Please monitor live shows better. I've seen drunk hosts drinking, stoned hosts smoking, angry hosts shouting expletives, hosts screaming at kids, hosts selling dirty underwear & socks.... not very "posh".

@bettysvintage It’s a joke. PM does not care about sellers. They will do anything now to make a sale it seems then give sellers a hard time by flagging for minor issues. They like to harass at will and these Live Shows are a PURE WASTE OF TIME. I feel sorry for those who try it and get nothing.

@bettysvintage @marissabergado Agreed. My sales have tanked since Shows came out. I think it could have a much smoother and easier UI/UX. I’d also really like more monitoring from Posh for everything you mention and b/c there are so many fakes being sold with no consequences. I can’t compete when their cost is $50 and mine is $4000. The ability to sell without a listing photo or full description bothers me as well - as a buyer and a seller.

@fabgirlboutique most cameras have an option to flip the camera towards or away from you. There should be a little icon at the bottom or top of the screen that shows a flip icon . If u press it, it should face away from you so that you can have it facing towards whatever you’d like your audience to see.

@shannynicole I have got that part. But I cannot see how to get the camera looking at the jewelry. I cant get the right height, And how do you hold up the camera. I tried the piece on the ring light but it twists and turns. It looks so clean and the right color and accurate when I see other people's. I just have not gotten that yet.

@fabgirlboutique the trip pod should have adjustable knobs that will tight the phone at whichever point you need it at. Also you should be able to adjust the pole height. Where do you have the jewelry sitting? The tripod should definitely be able to adjust to the height of the table.

@itsambers I agree ☝️ with you. Prices of high end stuff are being super diluted and I am also being forced to sell some high end items for nowhere near the price paid of the item. It’s a hard lesson for me to understand the valuelessness of clothes. I think most of my stuff that I haven’t been able to sell seriously I just donate to charity. It’s very sad 😢 and then my animal charity store 🏬 closed down last year.
