I've had charcoal bags in it, and they have worked wonders. I can smell the leather again. The feminine scent has dramatically left, and the lovely leather smell is very much back, but those sensitive to scent should pass. I'd keep it, but I've been gifted this same style purse in the latest color with a zip closure. Cosmetically, this bag is in excellent used condition and clean.
