justfabulous32 @dobegirl that stinks I was under the impression if an item is not as described the buyer is entitled to a full refund,..she should threatened to report her to the police if she doesn't get her money back,..if she selling on this site she selling on other sites,..such as eBay sorry to hear about your friend 😔

justfabulous32 @dobegirl Oh good,..I have not been selling on this site long it amazes me on how many people are scamming ,.. They are paying through pay pal and the sellers are not shipping,.,they are also listing items with tags,,. The tags are not for the items that they have listed there not attached to the item and the tags have a different back ground than the item they are selling. 😞

Best thing to do, what I do, is follow who my friends hve been following for a while. They've given me permission to do so. So far, so good except my 1 stupid mistake. Blame myself for dealing w a kid. Lots of very young kids on here selling & wanting to buy/trade, no money in their pockets you'll notice.

walker17 @dobegirl I'm fairly new to Posh. I haven't been scammed yet, but I worry with every sale/purchase that I will be. I thought this would be like Ebay. I have 100% rating through them and have never had a single issue. I have noticed however, that a posher I bought from in my first few days has been labeled a scammer!!! Thank goodness everything was good for me. (@ armaka). Lots of drama going on over there!! LOL!! If you do get a list of scammers please tag me so I can avoid them!!! Thank you!!

dobegirl @walker17 Every1 that I kno or who follows me that reads this has added their comments & names of ppl who hve scammed them, outright lied to them, given them a diff time or any negative experiences along w ea outcome,(whether resolved by poshmark or they had to resolve themselves), has been noted. If you hve a few moments, you might want to read some of the comments for names & etc. some are very interesting.

jaguarchick Great idea! I am so worried about trading because of the dishonest people, and besides that I need the money. @sharonsteele48 hey honey, did you ever get your refund? I can't believe that happened to you!!! You are such a sweetheart too! I was scammed before on eBay, and never got my entire refund back! I went through PayPal, eBay and my bank trying to get it handled and I was still shorted $75!!! I ended up doing detective work and finding the person, calling them up and threatening them to get my money but it didn't work. I should have sent the info to the Denver Police Department and had them handle it for me. They were lucky they didn't live closer to me! I was do livid I would've been on their doorstep!

dobegirl @jaguarchick There's a few of us that usually trade amongst ourselves bc we know ea other. Of course, we all take a chance & trade w someone new & when there's no problem we continue purch & trading & the "friend list" just grows longer & longer. If you ever want to do a trade, you can pretty much check w @sharonsteele48, @jadasmom, @kwilliamsvpi, @shehar317, @ksarjewels, @sashascloset, @cutiebunny or myself, (there are many more I cld list) before you trade, just to be sure. I dont think anyone wld hve a problem w your chkng w them.

I have only had 1 bad experience with a trade and lost $300 worth of merchandise :( All my other experiences have been wonderful, thank goodness-- I will post the names of those that I have had great experiences with today- so you know you can trust them too!!! Unfortunately, the girl that scammed me sent me harassing emails, cursing and threatening to have her family (that she claimed were policemen) contact me!!! After she stole my stuff in a trade where she NEVER SHIPPED-- then turned around and RESOLD MY STUFF in her closet-- I have pictures of everything and emails from when she promised to ship, then promised to return my stuff, then when she listed my stuff in her closet as her own :( It was a horrible experience. I am just glad I have also found some wonderful people on posh, like @dobegirl--

Busy w Mom but that's gotten better, gd routine w her. Got her going to Sr Cntr, well she went bck 1 day anyway. Step in the right direction. You see me nosing arnd in your closet? Lol.. You know me. innabailey Ana1111 scamed me through paypal. She shipped the items back to herself with a delivered tracking number and then said since the post office lost it, that she wont refund me. Luckily, I screen shot the convos and tracking. Then sent the pics to pp, and they were awesome and reversed the money back into my account. I definitely learned from this and wont be buying through pp. My mistake for doing so in the first place.

dobegirl @innabailey Thank you for making us all aware of yet another person who makes it so difficult for the honest ladies here on Poshmark I wish that Poshmark had a policy themselves to deal w these matters bc I see more & more scammer lists being deleted by pm. It's so unfair & unsettling to receive empty boxes, used/not as pictured or described goods, etc.

innabailey @dobegirl posh actually deletes the lists? Thats ridiculous! If they do something like that, then they should close the closets of the people who are scamming others. I've done purchases on here, but every time I buy something, im always weary if I will be scammed. It's annoying to have to worry about something like that. It makes you realize that there are so many shady people out there.

dobegirl @mzkitty2 You'll defin notice, even after you've been Poshing for awhile, you may have "slumps" in your sales. There's nothing wrong with or in your closet, it's fabulous. You have items more aligned to specific poshers, they may take longer to discover your closet. Be thrilled you're not being besieged by poshers w no funds, only want trades, etc. Patience is important, I've been slowed to a complete stop at times. Most important is you attend the Parties when invited, share your own closet, (up to 3x day if poss), get out into the posh world & become known. It's scary when your pckge has been delayed, either receiving or sending. I've had pckges held at buyers post office & they were never notified by postal Srvce. Stay in touch w buyers, before sells & after, request they give you feedback. Best to set up a separate Feedback Page. There are honest, trustworthy ppl here, unfort there are also the dishonest. Stik by the rules, Poshmark shld stand behind you. It takes time but you will gain a trustworthy name & following. Best of Luck :-)

Does that mean their lists have been removed due to scamming? Is that something to be aware of? Or does that mean they're on here strictly to shop? Thanks!

dobegirl @mahoganycharm Tina, sorry for delayed response, I'm having some difficulties at home that need top priority & I'm going to have to temporarily close my own closet here shortly. But you pose a good question. Personally, I'm always leery of empty closets. It's no problem if they want to "follow" my closet, for the most part, you never hear from them again. My best advise to you is if they wish to make a purchase, stick to Poshmark rules, do the purchase & shipping thru Poshmark. If there are problems or grievances by either party, you go thru Poshmark. Most of the time, they suddenly come up w a low bid offer or something they have but "haven't posted in their closet yet" & most always a high-end used item they'd luv to work out w some sort of trade or partial trade w you. Promise if they actually have this kind of item, you wldnt want it anyway. Avoid, avoid, avoid!! There are some w empty closets new to Poshmark who are simply "testing the waters", some buy from other sellers like yourself & shortly you'll see your item in their closet selling for a higher price. Let's face it, we're all here to make a little bit of money. Some greedy & much, much more than others. Certainly some more than I can afford but still enjoy admiring. I have noticed a big rise in pricing over the past 6->8 Mos though. I have no idea what is driving the costs up, checking the Online & Outlet stores, you get the same items at 1/2 or less the cost. Hope that makes you feel more comfortable when seeing blank closets liking your items or following your closet. Welcome aboard & good luck w your sells :-)
