This Pink Smocked Dress in size 12 Months by Feltman Brothers is Super Sweet! The traditional style dress has a Peter Pan collar with a matching trim that is hand-sewn with faggoted stitching (very high-end feature). The short puffed sleeves have a matching band that is also hand-sewn with faggoted stitching. The entire bodice is smocked in a lattice design with pink embroidery. Sweet little pink and white bullion roses are hand sewn on top of the lattice embroidery. The bottom of the smocking has an embroidered scalloped border done in pink and white. The bottom of the dress has 4 Pin tucks, adding even more classic, heirloom detail to this dress. The back has an upper button back. This makes a perfect baby shower gift! amybronston For a little girl who measures 18.5 inches (circumference) at the chest, would you do a 12m or 18m?

shellie_roo @amybronston Hello, with that chest measurement, I would recommend the 12 month in this dress. What size does the little girl wear now? A rule of thumb with most of this brand's items is that they run a little large. I always measure each dress and list those measurements for accuracy because measurements can vary slightly with same style/same size dresses. :)

shellie_roo @amybronston Also, what I love about smocked items is that they have stretch in the chest which is great for comfort/movement, so you get more use without children out-growing them too fast :)

amybronston @shellie_roo thank you! She currently wears 24 months in most clothing, but I found that many of her smaller sizes still fit. She will be two years old in October and I am thinking this dress would be perfect for her birthday tea party.

amybronston @shellie_roo I am so sorry to ask another question, but I remeasured her chest circumference today, and it was 19.5 inches this time. Would you still recommend the 12 months or bump up to the 18 month?

shellie_roo @amybronston Hello.Sure, no worries! I have 2 of these in 12 Month. I just remeasured them because one runs larger than the other (the chest and shoulders) The larger one measures 10.75" across the chest (21.5 around the chest) which would be perfect for 19.5 inches, giving some room on each side. I would make sure to send the larger of the two.
