@coteliap58 Hi, I just pulled the set out. I know exactly what you mean. My pants vary also. I am between a Medium and a large. I tried these on and they fit me a little on the slug side. Very soft material. I measured the waist between 14 and 14 1/2 inches. It stretches to about 19 inches. I dont want to give you the wrong answer but I would recommend to measure one of your pants and compare it to this one.
