Pink Pearl headed necklace

Pink Pearl beaded necklace layered There is a bit on hot glue as shown in the picture but when worn it is not visible. I'm not sure why it is there because the chain looks fine, but my guess is maybe one of the links was opening and it wouldn't close with plyers. Unsure Y2K
