MacBeth-Evans produced the Dogwood Pink Pattern between 1930 -1934. This is a set of 3 "thick" teacups in that style. Depression glass is known for its affordable yet elegant glassware produced during the Great Depression era. These teacups are made of pink Depression glass, which has a soft, translucent pink hue. Depression glass was produced by numerous glass manufacturers during a time when economic hardship prevailed due to the Great Depression. To boost sales and attract customers, companies often offered glassware as premiums in food products, at movie theaters, or through various promotions. Many pieces were also sold in dime stores or given away as prizes at carnivals.
