Handmade primative folk art pig hooked rug. Estate find. Stored -never displayed since its purchase decades ago. Colors remain vibrant. Detailed design. Avoided displaying -worried sunlight exposure might cause fading. Good overall unaltered condition -as it was found - with imperfections as shown. Loop weaving as shown. Viewed in relaxed position -some waviness irregularity particularly to the right side blocked segment. Thinking it might be steamed into alignment-no attempt to correct this was done. The backside appears to be handstitched with one central darker discoloration spot as shown. Does not appear to influence into the display side Some irregularity in the weave of the backer mesh. Previously appears to have once been displayed as a wall hanging. Only one white stitched hanging loop remains, apparent evidence of two missing loops as shown on backer mesh. Measurements as shown.
