Beautiful plate with dragon and phoenix pattern. After much research online people say the following: * it's from the ROC era (1912-1949) * back says Luo Sen Jian Zhi I don't know if this is Chinese or Japanese. I used Google translate and included two pictures. The painted dragons on this plate have 4 toes. ...and I believe Japanese dragons have 3 toes and Chinese have 4 to 5 toes. Gold paint has scratches.
